Dispatch can construct an entire site with a single template, but it is more common to use two or more templates.

The first diagram illustrates a two-template site. One template defines how the home page will look, while the other template defines the remaining pages within the site will look.

Next is a site with a single home page template and a unique template for each section within the publication. This allows news stories to have their own template with specific style and features, film stories to have a different template with their own style and features, and so on.

Another design introduces sectional table of contents pages, each with its own style and feature set. This design utilizes an assortment of templates for various design and function needs: a home page template, a template for each sectional table of contents, and a template for each section's stories.

Dispatch allows you to design as many templates as you like, develop multiple template sets, or use only a single template.
